Five Star Athletes God First, Gifts Second
The Newman Family, God's Family: Tim, Gail, Porscha, Christina, Della, Shantel, Desiree, Tim, Jacob, Milli, and Jayce Worship at Ben Salem Presbyterian Church | Our christian life is God first, gifts second. We are super excited as parents because our children gave their life to Christ this past February at Ben Salem Presbyterian Church. We are firm believers that you have to be at a age of understanding of who God is. God is real. You have to trust and believe in Him. Even when things seem to be impossible, our God is able. We thank God that He sent His son to die for us, and he rose on the third day with all power in his hand. We serve a God that can not fail, and He will not fail you. All you have to do is trust and believe in Him. We give all credit to God. Without Him we are nothing. Some of our favorite scriptures are: Proverbs 18:16 Giving a gift work wonders; it may bring you before important people. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you. Proverbs 18:24 There are friends who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Psalm 1:1-2 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers. But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants; day and night they think about his law. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land. 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn't make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at a person's thoughts and intentions. Joshua 1:9 I command you- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Mark 11:24 What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 1 Peter 3:13 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. 1Peter5:9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Colossians 3:12 "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, meekness, and patience" 1 Corinthians 2:5 So that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's Power. Jeremiah 9:23-24 "This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD." Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. Psalm 86:15 "But You O LORD, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth." Deuteronomy 28:13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Psalms 118:6 The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me. James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who persevered under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" Psalm 102:26 "They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; Like a cloak You will change them, And they will be changed." |
